This site will host detailed information on how to select, size and configure servers for the usage with Microsoft SQL Server (Versions 2008 and 2005 - some of the information may also apply to SQL Server 2000 and earlier).

We are going to provide information for servers from 1 to 64 CPU sockets, 0,5 to 2048 GB memory and 1 to 4000+ disk covering x86, x64 and IA64.

We are not going to provide tips and tricks on query optimizing, but since its related to optimum hardware usage we will provide information how to partition your data and how to create and modify tables and indexes to make the most of your systems
